Use LOFO to find and return lost items. Don't use it to claim things that aren't yours, harass other users, or submit false reports. Doing the right thing is the whole point.
By using LOFO, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. We may update these terms occasionally — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
LOFO provides a platform that uses AI to match found items with lost item reports and coordinate their return. We are a coordination service — we do not take custody of items, guarantee returns, or act as a shipping or logistics provider.
Tips from losers to finders are voluntary. LOFO takes a platform fee on tips processed through the service. Tipping is entirely optional — finders are civic volunteers, not contractors, and no finder is entitled to a tip as a condition of return.
All payments are processed by Stripe. LOFO does not store payment card information.
By tapping "Send Code" or "Confirm Phone Number" in the LOFO app, you consent to receive SMS messages from LOFO including one-time verification codes and match alert notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for support.
Message frequency varies based on account activity, typically 1–3 messages per item submission. We do not send marketing messages.

Violations may result in immediate termination of access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
LOFO is provided as-is. We make no guarantees that a lost item will be found or returned. We are not liable for the condition of returned items, failed handoffs, or disputes between finders and losers. Our maximum liability to any user is limited to the amount they paid to LOFO in the preceding 12 months.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.
